Acting Audition in "An Ode to Mary" Film
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking actors to play roles in production of "An Ode to Mary". More detais are below. About the project: When a tender-hearted English major steals the journal of his seemingly unrequited crush he discovers a truth he was not prepared for. Rate: Non-union student short film. Non-paying but food and credits will be provided. Additional information: Shooting dates: March 10th-17th (3 days during this week, dates not set yet). Submission deadline: February 21st at 11:59pm. When applying, please submit your name, which role you are interested in, whether or not you have any conflicts during the filming week, a head shot, and demo reel (if you don’t have one that’s okay).

Lead. Daniel is a soft-spoken, hopeless romantic who often gets lost in the imaginary world of his writing. He loves poetry and always has a book in his hand, unless he's running his fingers through his lush brown hair. He thinks he has himself all figured out, but has a tendency to sentimentalize everything
DANIEL'S LOVE INTEREST. Mary is an introvert who likes to take refuge in her journal. She prefers to be on her own, but her friendship with Daniel, Danae, and Leo has brought her out of her shell. She is intentional with the way she speaks, but has a witty side. She is passionate about environmentalism and is quite altruistic.
Danae is a charismatic theatre major who thrives in social settings. She's the kind of person who everyone wants to be friends with and, more importantly. impress. She is an intuitive freethinker and her aura makes people feel electric. She has a maximalist style and is always wearing bright colours.
Leo is the captain of the game boy club on campus and a marketing major. He is playful and likes to joke around. He finds amusement in poking fun at Daniel, but deep down is grateful for their friendship. He is outgoing and likes to talk.
