Seeking Equity actors for roles in "American Idiot". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. Rate: SPT $330 weekly minimum (SPT 1) Additional info: PREPARATION Please prepare the sheet music and tracks from select songs which will be made available at the time of scheduling your audition appointment. Each performer will be allotted a maximum of 5 minutes. A piano and accompanist will be available, but directors recommend that performers prepare a song of their choice from the production and accompany themselves to demonstrate proficiency. Only Equity performers may choose to read from a script. The Theatre will provide Sides and a reader. Equity members who wish to read a Side are encouraged to prepare their own and either bring a copy for the reader or let them know the scene/page numbers upon check–in so directors may be prepared to assist you. Also, please bring your headshot and resume stapled together. Equity’s contracts prohibit discrimination. Equity members without appointments will be seen throughout each audition day, as time permits.

Male-identifying – B2-B4. The guy who goes to the city; the self-proclaimed Jesus of Suburbia. Bored of his do-nothing, go-nowhere existence, he takes off for the city to get a new lease on life. He wages an inner war between a budding love for Whatsername and growing dependency on St. Jimmy and drugs.

TunnyBoth genders20-29 y.o.All ethnicities

Male-identifying – D3-B4. The guy who goes to the city with Johnny. Johnny’s friend who follows him to the city and eventually enlists in the army which throws him into active military conflict in the Middle East. A lost dreamer who is easily swayed, first by Johnny’s ideas and then by patriotism and the American Dream.

Male-identifying – C#3-B4. The guy that stays home in Suburbia. Johnny’s friend. He ends up staying in Suburbia with his pregnant girlfriend Heather. The more he stays on the couch, the more he becomes slowly disconnected from the world and his own relationships.

C3-F#5. A city bada*s. Johnny’s alter ego. An enigmatic and charismatic enabler who gets Johnny addicted to drugs and grows jealous of his relationship with Whatsername.

Female-identifying – A3-E5. A girl in suburbia. Will’s girlfriend. She discovers she is pregnant but has difficulty telling her boyfriend of the news. Once she settles down with him, she struggles to maintain their relationship with his despondency and eventually leaves him.

Female-identifying – F#3-D#5. A girl in the city. A rebel activist–fierce, strong, and capable–who falls for Johnny. She fights to have him embrace an authentic relationship with her rather than pursue his addiction.

Female-identifying – Bb3-E5. A girl in the Middle East who first appears as a hallucination to Tunny. Attractive and mysterious, she later appears as his nurse and accompanies him home after the war.
