Seeking Talent for Audition Movie
Male actrors are needed for a 7-minute short horror/suspense film, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: About the Film: The film centers on a seemingly happy couple whose night is interrupted by a strange knock on the door, only to discover there’s nothing outside. But they’ve inadvertently let something in. A horror/thriller, this is a film akin to “Lights Out,” but obviously a different story. The film will be distributed on the film festival circuit both to local festivals like RIFF and VA Independent Horror Fest, and national festivals like Screamfest and Nightmares FF. This short is also a springboard to launch several other, more complex projects in the future (such as a feature). Rate: Unpaid, Non-Union. Additional info: To be shot in early March. The film will be a one-night shoot in the Richmond area. When applying, please send a headshot, resume, and availability in February and March by February 15th. If selected, you will be notified and asked to submit a self-tape.

Athletic build. The protagonist, Jill is a traveler and adventurer, a secret romantic, and although she lives in the suburbs, she’s got outdoorsy grit. She’s sarcastic, playful, and competent. Although she feels comfort in her partner Jack, she’s an experienced enough traveler to be confident she can take care of herself in stressful or intense situations.
Athletic build. Jack is a college-educated, middle-class guy who is more into fitness and travel than he is into the party scene. He’s a loving spouse/partner with a good sense of humor, but he can be overly goofy and come off as naive and unaware of his surroundings. Like a playful but experienced hunting dog, he can turn serious when the occasion calls for it, when he senses something is actually, truly wrong.
