"Due Diligence" Short Movie Looking for Cast
Casting call for short film "Due Diligence". Seeking actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the roles below. About the project: Genre: Comedy. But very intense Logline: Jake, a very anxious guy, becomes increasingly certain that he passed his mother's severed hand on the side of road as his friend tries to convince him it's all in his head. But Jake's imagination is very strong, and, picturing all the people whose hands might be chopped off if he doesn't go back to double check, feels compelled to drive back. Rate: Unpaid, student film. But you get a free meal. Additional info: No experience necessary. Auditions will be held remotely. Note: Policemen & Judge roles require you to wear a prosthetic limb, to make it look like you're missing a hand. Shooting date: (Tentatively) The last weekend of February, and the first weekend of March. Most of these roles are minor, and will only require one day of shooting. Jake's friend, concerned about him, frustrated that Jake can't even acknowledge that his worries exist. Stuck with Jake in the car as he frantically goes back to double check whether there was a hand on the road.
A few cops who arrest Jake in an imaginary sequence for driving past the scene of the crime without reporting it. One of them struggles to put the handcuffs on because they're missing a hand.
