Description:

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. The company is seeking talent for "The Importance of Water" short film (comedy). See the details below. About the project: We're casting for a comedic short film about an over-the-top, neurotic married Italian couple and their son, who is forced to endure their absurd struggles. Think George Costanza's parents—just younger and just as intense. The story follows Lucas, an 18-year-old caught in the middle of his parents' relentless bickering as they prepare for a trip. His hypochondriac father is in a full-blown crisis over his inability to go to the bathroom, while his overbearing mother is obsessing over how he waters the plants. As Lucas tries to tune them out, the situation escalates into a ridiculous debate over hydration, gas station bathrooms, and a last-ditch olive oil remedy. Rate: $500 Additional info: Non-Union Location: Toronto Dates: APRIL 22nd & 23rd, 2025 When applying, please send Headshot, Resume, Reel.
