34 roles
Dancing – Light to Moderate Voice – Baritone (Gb5-B3) A powerful, self-assured billionaire who made his fortune during World War I as an industrialist, and always has his mind on business. While sometimes gruff and abrupt, he has a kind heart. At first, he is awkwardly affectionate toward Annie, but he soon finds himself completely charmed by her. (Actor will not have to shave head or wear a bald cap.)
Dancing – Moderate Voice – Soprano (G5-Bb3) She is the loyal, intelligent private secretary to Oliver Warbucks. Grace is mature, calm, sweet, gentle, and classy. She is businesslike when dealing with Miss Hannigan and Warbucks, yet maternal toward Annie. Grace should seem ready with an answer for just about anything. Each dramatic situation should seem to come “under control” the moment she glides into a scene. She brings Annie and Warbucks together
Dancing – Light to Moderate Voice – Alto (F5-A3) This woman is definitely a “has-been”. Desperate and unhappy with her lot in life, she is the alcoholic orphanage matron who is Annie’s nemesis. She is very disillusioned, bitter, and cold. Her distaste for her job and the children is obvious in every move she makes and every line she delivers. She is predictable and funny, in her ridiculous, cruel ways.
Dancing – Moderate Voice – Tenor (G5-B3) Miss Hannigan’s despicable, greedy, and dishonest brother who is a con man looking for a quick buck. He is flashy and self-assured. His “moves” are as smooth as a gambler’s: sly and deceiving. The actor playing this role should bring a sense of fun to the character and have a good sense of comedic timing.
Dancing – Moderate to Strong Voice – Soprano (G5-B3) Lily is Rooster’s airhead girlfriend, and they are quite the “team” as they play off each other constantly. She is always distracted, although she manages to pick up on any conversation involving money especially a quick buck. She never acts as the leader, always bringing up the rear while tripping over her own feet (it’s difficult to walk and check your makeup in a compact at the same time)
