Auditions for upcoming Spring show, "An Evening with Alice". Seeking cast. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: To add some extra sizzle, this is actually a collection of one acts written by early 20th century Chicago based playwright, and will be featuring multiple directors. "Ever Young" Plot Synopsis: Four well-to-do women in their twilight years meet on a retreat and discuss days gone by and love both won and lost. "Fourteen" Plot Synopsis: High-strung socialite Mrs. Pringle prepares a dinner party to introduce her daughter Elaine to wealthy bachelor Oliver Farnsworth. But as bad weather and illness dwindles her guest list, she must try to save the evening from disaster. "He Said and She Said" Plot Synopsis: The dinner will be elegant. The food sublime. The atmosphere intense. The deception, lies and deceit will be served hot. "Overtones" Plot Synopsis: Harriet and Margaret have a conversation while their respective subconscious forms weigh in with their real opinions. "The Pot Boiler" Plot Synopsis: Aspiring author, Harold Wouldby, gets an opportunity to learn under the famous playwright, Thomas Pinikles Sud, by attending a rehearsal for his newest play, “The Pot Boiler”. As the cast navigate their way through complicated directions, Sud is both explaining and complaining about various elements of the show to Wouldby. "The Unseen" Plot Synopsis: Hilda works for the Baldwins as their servant, but is hardly noticed by the pair as they debate over the best way to make her a “better servant”. Additional info: All listed ages are stage ages and are flexible. What to Expect: Please come prepared to read from the scripts of the shows. Monologues and resumes are not required but will be accepted if prepared. There is a potential to be cast in multiple shows. Keep in mind, the audition location can get chilly in colder weather, so make sure you bring stuff to keep you warm if those days are particularly chilly.
