Casting Call for "Party Crasher" Film
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking cast to play roles in production of "Party Crasher". More details are below. About the project: A long overdue confrontation between estranged brothers (Jordan 31 and Schuyler 27) comes to a head when recovering addict, Schuyler, decides to Break into his brothers house and steal back a family heirloom belonging to late mother. As Schuyler is breaking into his brother’s house he steps in on a surprise birthday party for his brother. Having crashed the party, Schuyler is confronted by Rebecca (Jordan’s girlfriend) who he lies to, claiming to just be an old friend. He attempts to sneak off to steal the heirloom but is confronted by Jordan prompting their first conversation in years. Rate: Non-Union. This is a volunteer project. A recovering addict trying to re-adapt to a world he is not ready for. Having been removed from rehab with news of his mothers passing; Schuyler is not only without placement but without security. Schuyler knows how much his brother resents him and reciprocates that feeling for condemning him into the role of ‘the fuck up’, ‘the black sheep’. In becoming sober Schuyler has worked incredibly hard and more than anything wants recognition for his growth.
Jordan is someone who has worked their entire life to become more than their family. In many ways Jordan’s upbringing was informed by his younger brother’s impulsiveness. Upon seeing how his brothers addiction destroyed the family, being left with the fractured pieces Jordan only grew a tremendous resentment for his brother. Its is this petty pride that pushes Jordan to be as organized as he is.
Rebecca is a peacekeeper. While dating Jordan, she heard about his family history and specifically his ‘junky’ brother. She has already committed to Jordan and the two have already done so much to create a life with each other, but she is not ignorant to Jordan's shortcomings. When she learns that this intruder is the fabled brother, she recognizes that this is exactly what Jordan needs to move forward.
