Just after pulling the trigger, David calls longtime acquaintance Detective Prestly and tries his best to explain why he feels all hope is lost. LOGLINE: When logic fails, emotion takes over. A detective who has known the protagonist (David) since he was first arrested as a juvenile, generally strong and hopeful for the next generation. They are the only person on the scene who has any idea of how tragic David's ending is. Prestly feels that they have personally failed when they see David has died.
Very jaded and unempathetic. Just wants to close the file on this case as fast as possible. Despises paperwork and is willing to take shortcuts to get through the day. Carries themselves like an unfaithful spouse who has told their partner that they are working late when they have other plans.
Old and large man with lumberjack/trucker vibes. This man has been a manipulative groomer towards his grandson David his entire life. Old school man determined to be the "Man of the house" till the very end. Fears nothing and has no problem using his large stature as a way to intimidate those around him. (preference will be given to men who are over 200lbs).
(18 to play 15) An enthusiastic but impressionable kid. He simultaneously idolizes and fears his grandfather who he looks up to as a strong and accomplished man, this leads to his grandfather manipulating him into a vulnerable situation. (no sexual content on screen but the actor will need to act afraid of Armand and be physically manhandled). Will appear in flashback scenes.
