The Three Musketeers is a thrilling, fast-paced adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ classic novel by Tony Award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig. Join the brave and charismatic D’Artagnan as he teams up with the legendary trio—Athos, Porthos, and Aramis—in a swashbuckling tale of honor, friendship, and daring escapades. Filled with swordfights, romance, and a touch of humor, this vibrant production brings to life the timeless spirit of loyalty and justice. Additional info: Please prepare a one minute contemporary monologue. Callbacks will be on Sunday, February 9th 1-5 PM. Readings from script provided. Come dressed for movement and stage combat. Tight fitting gloves recommended (similar to batting gloves). Contract period is May 26th – June 29th. Rehearsals will be May 26th – June 14th, Monday – Friday (Flexible) Typically afternoon – evening. Tech Rehearsals are June 16th – 17th, 10 AM – 8 PM (Mandatory) Dress Rehearsals are June 18th 10 AM – 8 PM (Flexible), June 19th 8 AM – 5 PM (Flexible), June 19th 5:30 PM – 10:00 PM (Mandatory). A musketeer in the King's Guard. He is noble and handsome, but also taciturn and melancholy. He is protective of D'Artagnan and eventually treats him as a brother.
A musketeer in the King's Guard. Porthos is known for his strength, loyalty, and sense of humor and for being an extrovert who enjoys wine, women, and song. He is also known for being a dandy who likes fashionable clothes and making money.
A musketeer in the King's Guard who is torn between his love of women and his desire to join the priesthood.
A powerful, conniving, and crafty man who wants to take over France. Can lose his temper at a moments notice.
A beautiful, cunning, and manipulative femme fatale, often using her beauty and charm to achieve her goals. She is a bloodthirsty and remorseless spy for the Cardinal and is Athos's ex-wife.
A young and idealistic servant to the Queen who is the love interest of D'Artagnan.
(Also plays D'Artagnan's Father, Basille, Fouquet, and Fache). The King of France who is not a strong or effective leader. He is more interested in living comfortably than leading the country and gets confused easily.
(Also plays D'Artagnan's Mother, Elise, Mother Superior, and Abbess). The Queen of France who is sweet-natured, intelligent, and stately. She is Spanish and her loyalties are divided between her Spanish heritage, her position as Queen of France, and her love for the Duke of Buckingham.
Rochefort is a skilled swordsman, a master strategist, and a henchman of Cardinal Richelieu. He is also arrogant, sadistic, and ruthless.
(Also plays Duke of Buckingham, Ravanche, Ruffian, Innkeeper, and Debris). The respected and loyal commander of the musketeers and a close advisor to King Louis XIII.
