About the project: Mermania is the story of a girl that finds freedom in a 1994 that never existed. Rate: Leads will be paid. Supporting/Extras will be given meals, credit, and copy of the film provided by production. Additional info: Rehearses and shoots in Austin, TX from February 18th-24th. Lead. *Paid* Campbell is our narrator, and has a fascination with the girls in the group, especially Michelle. Rock music lover, contemplative, still figuring out herself and the world. She observes the girls from afar, an onlooker in this world.
Lead. *Paid* In the group of four, Michelle is the grungy leader. Permanently in a leather jacket, Michelle is mysterious, sexy, and a little scary. She's courageous and intimidating, while also being the glue of the group. *Playing guitar a plus, but not required.*
Lead. *Paid* In the group of four, Janice is the jealous provocateur. Lipstick, eyeliner, faux fur, and the thorniest rose in the bunch, she's the daughter of the hot principal. Lingering feelings for her friend Michelle and works throughout the party to make Michelle jealous. *Makeout scene with Perla* .
Lead. *Paid* In the group of four, Ally is the wise stoner. With permanently scraped knees and a joint on hand, Ally is a stone-cold chillaxer. During the party, she enjoys holding court, wanting something interesting to happen, and passing on her wisdom to nearby fellow students
Lead. *Paid* In the group of four, Lisa is the baby. Included in the group because she's Michelle's childhood friend, she's very emotional, and anxious without her friends. She finds comfort in the attention of boys, especially those who don't give a shit about her.
Featured Extra. Rod Price is the father of the lead character, Campbell. Peaked in his 20's, the first time Campbell saw her father cry was when Cobain died. Can always be seen in a concert tee.
Featured Extra. The mother to our protagonist, Campbell. She is demure and religious, living a suburban life in 1994.
