About the project: "Bridges We Build" is a heartfelt and poignant short film that explores the resilience, struggles, and triumphs of the immigrant experience. The story centers around MC, a young Chinese immigrant, as he navigates the challenges of adapting to a new culture while holding onto his roots. Through moments of alienation, fleeting connections, and deep introspection, the film portrays the universal search for belonging. At its core, "Bridges We Build" is about finding strength within oneself, building meaningful relationships, and reconciling the distance between home and a new beginning. Rate: Non union. $300 for each role. Additional information: Location: Markham, ON. Date: Jan 15-17. Directors are filming a kitchen scene inspired by The Bear. The scene involves a high-energy, chaotic restaurant kitchen environment. Shooting will be night for day, so expect a fast-paced and immersive experience. Please, see the attachment. (Lead Role) Mandarin or Cantonese-speaking. Emotionally expressive and capable of delivering a nuanced performance of vulnerability and growth. Fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese is required.

(Supporting Character) Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese-speaking). Warm and empathetic; portrays a fellow immigrant who bonds with MC over shared experiences. Fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese is required.
