About the project: This dark comedy follows Manson, a reclusive young man with a debilitating stutter as he traverses a toxic workplace. On the day it is announced that his bullies will be leaving the country forever, Manson puts in motion a last ditch effort plan of revenge, which results in everlasting consequences. Rate: Non union. Volunteer. Meals will be provided on set and a copy of the film will be sent. Additional information; Audition Location North Vancouver. Shoot/Performance Date(s) February 21st - February 23rd. (Perform with a stutter: repetition, block) LEAD. After damaging his vocal chords in a car crash, Manson was left with a severe stutter. Unable to speak out of fear of rejection, he has isolated himself from everyone, including his best friend, Lance. Presently (two years after the crash) he has grown obsessive and spiteful, dealing with the office bullies shenanigans.
SUPPORTING. After Lance loses his best and only friend, Manson, he is taken up by the office bullies, and is forced into their group. He must try to keep his morals intact while at the same time, playing the part of the bullies loyal pet.
SUPPORTING. Tom, the man in charge, makes it his number one goal to make sure everybody is having a fun time. However, due to his lack of observatory skills, he has let his worker, Manson, suffer for the past two years at the hands of the bullies. After realizing this mistake he tries his best to make things right, even if he doesn’t know how.
SUPPORTING. Tyson, the de facto leader of the bullies, has made it his goal to establish his dominance and overall superiority over the lesser workers. Why? He’s always had this feeling in his heart that he was somebody really special, so why should he care about the normals. Now, an opportunity overseas has arisen, and it’s time to prove himself right.
SUPPORTING. After having a hell of a time picking on the lesser workers, Kai realised that he could do this for the rest of his life and be satisfied. However, he later realised that it wasn’t the “picking on” part that he liked. It was the friends he did it with. Specifically Tyson. There’s something really special about Tyson...
Additional Character. SUPPORTING. In highschool, Travis was the king, he was a champion at every sport he played, barely had to go to class, and he was as tall as they got... And then he was nothing. Distraught about his future, he chose to drown himself in liquor. Now, barely aware of his surroundings, due mostly to his lack of caring, he has simply become an alcoholic brute.
