About the olay: Synopsis: Lily, an aging but formidable widowed retiree, hires Michael, an acerbic dance instructor, to give her dance lessons in her condo in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida. Addititonal information: SHOW DATES: April 25th, 26th, May 2nd, 3rd, 9th & 10th at 7pm. April 27th & May 4th at 2pm. Presents as 60+ Lily is a formidable widow of a Baptist Minister. A self-described "tigh-arsed old biddy", Lily lives alone in St. Petersburg Beach on the gulf coast of Florida. As the title of the play describes, she is enrolled in 6 private dance lessons. Lily can already dance fairly well, she is not a beginner. Some dance ability would be an asset, and there will be a choreographer to assist.
Presents as 25+ Michael is an acerbic gay man who has been forced by circumstances to leave his life as a chorus boy on Broadway and to take work as a dance instructor. He is bitter and a very good dancer. Some dance ability would be an asset, or the confidence to carry off lesser ability, and there will be a choreographer to assist.
