"Romeo and Juliet" Stage Play Looking for Cast
Auditions for upcoming non-equity production of "Romeo and Juliet". Seeking actors. Please see the breakdown below. Rate: There is a one-time stipend of $100. Additional info: Directors are seeking an inclusive, diverse cast. Performers of all races and ethnicities, gender expressions, cultural heritages/backgrounds, body types as well as disabled and differently-abled performers are encouraged to apply. Directors are looking to cast non-traditionally. Sign up will start 30 minutes before audition times. Prepare a one-minute monologue preferably, but not necessarily, in verse from any Shakespeare play. It can be serious or comic: whatever shows you at your best. Please bring a headshot and resume. Callbacks will be held on Monday, January 20th and Tuesday, January 21st in the evening from 7-9PM. They are not accepting taped submissions. Rehearsals start Tuesday, January 28th. There will be one day off per week. Depending on actors’ schedules, the director is hoping to have some daytime rehearsals on weekdays. If actors’ schedules cannot accommodate that, rehearsals will be in the evening during the week. Weekend rehearsals will be during the day. The play runs from March 8th - 23rd.
