Audition for Singing in the Musical "Amelie"
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are currently in need of male and female performers for the Musical "Amelie". More details are below. About the show: Amélie is an extraordinary young woman who lives quietly in the world but loudly in her mind. She covertly improvises small but surprising acts of kindness that bring joy and mayhem. But when a chance at love comes her way, Amélie realizes that to find happiness she’ll have to risk everything and say what’s in her heart. Be inspired by this imaginative dreamer who finds her voice, discovers the power of connection, and sees possibility around every corner. Additional information: Performance Dates: JUNE 26 – JULY 5, 2025; Selected times: CALL-BACKS: Wed, January 22, 2025 – evening.. LOCATION: TBA. Please prepare a contemporary musical theatre piece that shows compelling storytelling and character. A ballad or lyric song is preferred. Selections by composers such as Ahrens & Flaherty, Andrew Lippa, Kerrigan & Lowdemilk, Pasek & Paul, Jeannie Tesori, Yorkey & Kitt and other contemporary writers would be suitable. If you have questions about the suitability of a selection, please contact us in advance. Readings from the script – Sides package will be emailed prior to audition. Rehearsal Schedule – Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday Afternoons to start. Most long weekends have no scheduled rehearsals. Tech week will include more evening rehearsals.
