About the project: Genre: Suspense/Horror Logline: A young woman and her friends are on a mission to find out and document what happened to her mother, a graffiti artist who suddenly went missing. They are not prepared for what they find. Rate: Unpaid. Credit, food, and footage. Additional info: The three main characters have been friends through high school. They formed a bond through their shared outsider status. Union status: Non-union Production Type: Student Short Film Shooting Schedule: Shooting February 15-16 and 22-23. (18) Growing up without a father, Lily idolized her mother, Stella, an unconventional graffiti artist who was both admired and criticized for her rebellious art. Lily struggles with her own worth, often feeling in competition with Stella’s art for her mother’s attention. With Stella’s disappearance, Lily becomes consumed with finding out what happened. Emotionally vulnerable. Kind. Determined. She finds strength and support in her friends, Jade and Scott.

(18) A scrappy troublemaker who grew up in the foster care system with few resources. Learned at a young age to fend for herself. A fighter and survivor with a soft spot for Lily. Jade’s humor and energy are infectious, but they mask a deep insecurity about being left behind.

(18) Scott interacts with the world primarily through the lens of his camera. A middle-class kid whose parents never understood his creative pursuits. Outwardly confident, his obsession with capturing life through film can make him seem pretentious and self-centered. Scott’s bravado hides a need for connection and validation.
