Additional info: Performances: April 25th-27th, Kennedale TownCenter Park Rehearsals: Three times a week incl. 2 weekday evenings & Saturday afternoon Vocal Auditions: Vocal auditions will be required for all singing parts, including chorus roles. Please come prepared to sing a short 30-second solo for directors. Any family-friendly vocal piece is acceptable, but musical theatre pieces are strongly encouraged, as they help give a better sense of your ability on stage. Musical theatre pieces do not have to be from this show. KCTP does not provide an accompanist or speaker at auditions. You are welcome to perform acapella or bring your own speaker and accompaniment track. Those wishing to audition for a speaking role will be asked to stay after their vocal audition for a short acting audition. Acting Auditions: Acting auditions will be required for all speaking parts and will consist of cold readings from various selections of the script. These selections will be provided by the KCTP directors at auditions. It is not necessary to prepare any sort of monologue or to familiarize yourself with the script beforehand. If you are auditioning for a chorus role only and do not desire any speaking lines, an acting audition is not necessary. As accent work is important for this show, actors are encouraged to practice upper class British (Arthur, Lady, Historians, Knights, & others), Cockney (Patsy, Fred, & others), French (French Taunters), and Scottish (Tim) accents. Directors may ask actors to attempt one or more of these accents as part of your audition. If necessary, callbacks will be held Sunday, January 12th, from 2-3pm. Actors needed for callbacks will be contacted individually by directors and given further details. Not all actors who are cast will be required to attend a callback audition, however, it is encouraged that those wishing to audition keep this timeslot clear in case you are needed. To be considered please apply.
