Equity actors for roles in 2025 Season. See breakdown below. Rate: SPT $859 weekly minimum (SPT 9) Additional info: Audition break: 1:00PM - 2:00PM NOTE: All actors for Come From Away must be proficient in the Gander dialect. All ethnicities are encouraged to apply for both shows. Please note that some characters are of a specific ethnicity. PREPARATION Please prepare two short songs in the style of the shows. Actors auditioning for EARL in WAITRESS please come prepared with a song in the vein of Elton John or a similar contemporary singer/songwriter. Guitar playing a plus but not necessary. Please bring your headshot and resume stapled together. A strong, assertive woman who has worked her way up through the ranks but who’s world suddenly changes. Beverley is from Texas and has a southern accent. Doubles as Anette, a local teacher at the Gander Academy and mother to a lot of children. Strong mezzo with a high belt up to a C#. "COME FROM AWAY"

Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary). A no-nonsense mother of 3, Bonnie is the head of the Gander area SPCA. When she discovers animals are trapped on the planes, she stops at nothing to ensure their safety. But in frustration, she often lashes out at those around her. Doubles as Martha. Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary). The head of the Gander Legion, with a firefighter son, who walks Hannah to her church and prays with her, while overcoming her suspicions of Ali. Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary). A traditional divorcee from Texas who is terrified that her son may have been flying at the time of the attacks. When she finds out that he's safe, she's given a new lease on life and discovers a wilder, more carefree side of herself. Doubles as Crystal and Brenda. Warm soprano with a strong mix to a D. The gregarious and well-liked Mayor of Gander, Newfoundland, Claude loves his work, the townspeople and his daily traditions, but he's never had to deal with a crisis of this magnitude before. The head of an environmental energy company in Los Angeles, Kevin was on vacation with his boyfriend (and secretary, also named Kevin), when they are stranded in Gander. Inspired by the town’s generosity, Kevin searches for greater meaning and ways to give back. Doubles as GARTH, head of the local union representing the bus drivers, and President Bush. Character is male (cis, trans, on non-binary). Nick is an English oil engineer who is focused on his work. Nick's life is turned upside down when he falls for Diane. Also plays Doug, a Gander Air Traffic Controller, married to Bonnie, who tries to help his wife and the animals, Officer Stephenson and Male Townsperson. Must do a very believable British accent. Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary). The quirky constable in the twoperson Gander police force. When the town's population suddenly doubles, Oz helps out in unexpected ways. Doubles as Joey, a rambunctious passenger on one of the planes who enjoys a good drink, Customs Officer, Mr. Michaels, Terry, Maty, Rabbi, and Head Cardiologist. Strong contemporary tenor to a G. A woman stuck in her life as an unhappily married waitress in a small town. Finds some happiness and expression through her meticulous baking of pies and her friendships with her coworkers, Dawn and Becky. Lives her live paycheck-to-paycheck, day by day, and wants nothing more than to get away and start fresh, unbeknownst to her destructive husband, Earl. Has a fantastic pop/rock voice with great range. "WAITRESS"

She is the youngest in spirit but not necessarily in age. Thick glasses, hair parted 14 centimeters to the left — eccentric, unusual, and aggressively meticulous. She sets the tables painstakingly ensuring each salt and pepper shaker is equidistant from the napkin holder. Has an excellent pop/rock/folk voice. "WAITRESS"

The oldest of the three waitresses. Irreverent, irascible, been there, made it back, and somehow kept her forward and sometimes wicked sense of humor with excellent comedic timing. Has a soulful pop voice with an excellent pop belt. "WAITRESS"

Handsome, endearing, and neurotic. Has a warm, if clumsy, matter. Jenna’s gynecologist with whom an unexpected extramarital affair is born. Has a quirky sense of humor and a big heart, even though he’s contributing to the affair. Must have impeccable comedic timing and must move well. Has a very strong pop/rock tenor that can navigate the musical style of Sara Bareilles with ease. "WAITRESS"

EARLMale25-35 y.o.White / Caucasian

Jenna’s husband. Peaked in high school, handsome in a gruff way, but that face is clouded with broken dreams, drowned with cheap beer. Just enough narcissism mixed with stupidity to be a potent Molotov cocktail that can explode into unexpected anger one second and then turn into a sobbing mess the next. "WAITRESS"

Strange, yet oddly lovable. Becomes slightly obsessed with Dawn (in a hilarious yet endearing way) after she goes on a 5-minute date with him. Quirky, incredibly persistent, and odd, yet kind. Has excellent comedic timing. Has an excellent pop/rock tenor/baritenor sound. "WAITRESS"

The owner of the diner where Jenna, Dawn, Becky, and Cal work. A seemingly old, curmudgeonly man who has a soft spot for Jenna (and her pie). Warm at heart. A sarcastically funny and no-nonsense guy with a keen ability to read people. Very funny. "WAITRESS"

CAL, U/S JOEMale40-59 y.o.All ethnicities

A chef at the diner. A “Salt of the Earth” guy’s guy surrounded by gals. Brash, impatient, unsentimental, but somehow charming. Has a strong pop/rock voice with great comedic chops. Has a strong contemporary baritone singing voice in the style of Sara Bareilles and excellent comedic timing. NOTE: Will also understudy the role of Joe. "WAITRESS"
