Monty Python’s "Spamalot" seeking cast. Please see the details below. About the project: Synopsis: Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monty Python’s Spamalot retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people. Did we mention a bevy of beautiful showgirls? The outrageous, uproarious, and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will delight audiences as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life.” Rate: This is not a paid gig. No monetary compensation or stipends are available. Additional info: WHAT TO PREPARE All roles are open for adults both male and female. No roles are precast. The audition will consist of a prepared song, a cold reading from the script and a cold character comedy reading plus some dancing. Dress appropriately for movement. What to bring: A head shot and resume if you have them plus the prepared vocal selection for your desired character(s). The audition form is attached. (Male Presenting) Vocal range: Tenor/Baritone A Knight of the Round Table. Ironically called "Sir Robin the Brave," though he couldn't be more cowardly. Joins the Knights for the singing and dancing. (Male Pres), Tenor/Baritone. A Knight of the Round Table. He is fearless to a bloody fault but through a twist of fate, does discover his 'softer side.' This actor MUST be great with character voices & accents, as he also plays The French Taunter, an arrogant, condescending, over-the-top Frenchman, the Knight of Ni, an absurd, cartoonish leader of a peculiar group of Knights, & Tim the Enchanter, a ghostly being with a Scottish accent. (Male Presenting) A Knight of the Round Table. Begins as Dennis, a lower class "mud gatherer" who becomes knighted and transforms into the dashing Sir Galahad. Also potentially plays Prince Herbert’s Father, wealthy, brutish Yorkshireman man at odds with his sensitive son, and The Black Knight who is always ready to duel despite multiple injuries. Strong baritenor singing required. PREPARE: “The Song That Goes Like This” MM. 1-26
