Actors and Actresses Needed for Upcoming Shows
Audition notice for "Something Rotten" & "I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change" shows. Seeking cast. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. Rate: Every eligible actor will receive a paid travel stipend at the end of the show’s run. Additional info: The Theatre when needed, will offer equity guest contracts to members of the union and contracts for professional actors. This is an Equal Opportunity Theatre, and directors encourage performers of all ethnicities to audition. Please do not disqualify yourself on the basis of type, race, or physicality. Music from the show, scenes, or choreography will be taught at the night of auditions. Some performers may be asked to attend callbacks on the same night of their audition. Vocal sides will be sent in advance of the audition date, and after directors have confirmed your appointment. "I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change " (Vocalists/Actors/Dancers) 2-3 Female Identifying and 2-3 Male Identifying Adults to play multiple comedic characters. Rehearsal Dates: January 19th- February 13th Rehearsals are generally Sunday through Thursday (6:30pm-10:30pm) (Mandatory Tech Week: February 9th-13th) Performance Dates: February 14th- February 23rd (Friday- 8:00pm show, Saturday- 2:00pm & 8:00pm shows, Sunday- 2:00pm show) *NOTE* Directors may add additional performances including Thursday evenings at a later date. "Something Rotten" (Vocalists/Actors/Dancers/Tap Dancers) Rehearsal Dates: January 26th- March 6th Rehearsals are generally Sunday through Thursday (6:30pm-10:30pm) (Mandatory Tech Week: March 2nd-6th) Performance Dates: March 7th- March 30th (Friday- 8:00pm show, Saturday- 2:00pm & 8:00pm shows, Sunday- 2:00pm show) *NOTE* directors may add additional performances including Thursday evenings at a later date. When applying, please include your SATB vocal part, preferred date and time (Sunday, January 5th (5pm-10pm) or Monday, January 6th (5pm-10pm)), and performer headshot. In person auditions will have first consideration of casting; however, performers traveling further than 90 miles from The Theatre may submit a virtual audition. If you would like to submit a virtual audition please include a Headshot, Theatre Resume, a Vocal Selection from the show, and Dance Reel (if applicable) by Saturday, January 4th. Please include if there are any specific roles you’d like to be considered for, if you would be willing to accept any other role, if you have any conflicts throughout the run, and if you would require housing if available.

Baritone (A2-G4). A struggling writer who cannot stand Shakespeare. Nigel’s older brother. (Male Identifying). "Something Rotten!"
Tenor (Eb3-A4). Nick’s sweet younger brother. A struggling writer who falls in love with Portia, a Puritan. (Male Identifying). "Something Rotten!"
Rock Tenor/Baritenor (Ab2-Ab4). The Bard. Over the top with a huge ego. (Male Identifying). "Something Rotten!"
Mezzo/Alto with Strong Belt (D3-D5). Nick’s wife. She loves Nick despite his past lack of success. She dresses up like a man to prove she can be an actor. (Female Identifying). "Something Rotten!"
Soprano with Strong Mix (G3-F#5). A Puritan woman who loves poetry,theater, and ultimately Nigel. (Female Identifying). "Something Rotten!"
Baritone (C3-F#4). A soothsayer who almost sees the future correctly. A bit loony. He predicts that Nick and Nigel will write a musical. Seeking a comedic actor who sings and moves well. (Male Identifying). "Something Rotten!"
Baritone (G3-G4). Portia's father. A Puritan who thinks Nick and Nigel's plays are sinful. (Male Identifying). "Something Rotten!"
