About the project: Based on the book by Cheryl Strayed, Tiny Beautiful Things is a heartwarming and poignant play about love, loss, and the raw beauty of being human. Adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos, the story follows the anonymous advice columnist, Sugar, as she connects with letter writers seeking guidance on some of life’s most challenging moments. This play explores themes of vulnerability, connection, and healing. Rate: $200 stipend. Additional info: Directors are seeking a diverse cast of 4 actors who can bring authenticity, emotional depth, and range to these characters. Actors of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities are strongly encouraged to audition. In-person auditions are highly encouraged; however, if you cannot attend in-person auditions, video submissions will be accepted.
