Auditions for Musical "Heathers"
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ADMITTED. Seeking performers from Calgary and beyond to audition for upcoming production of "Heathers" The Musical! Please, see the details below. Additional information: All auditioners are asked to prepare: - One song that you love to sing, approximately 1 - 1:30 minutes long (please do not sing a selection from the show). Callbacks: Sunday, January 19th, 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. Auditions and callbacks will be held in person. ALL auditioners must be aged 18+ by the time rehearsals start. If you're interested, please apply.

Burns to be both cool and kind, but doesn’t yet know how to be both at the same time. Fierce sense of right and wrong, keen sense of ironic humor. Thinks she’s an old soul, but she’s still innocent enough to be blindsided by love or shocked by cruelty. (Female dentifying character, 18+ to play high school student). Vocal Range: G3 - F#5 | Mezzo-Belter (High belt, up to A5).
The richest, hottest, cruelest girl in town. Relishes power and wields it without fear, patience, or mercy. (Female identifying character, 18+ to play high school student) Vocal Range: A3 - E5 (F5) | Mezzo-Soprano (Strong belt to F5 or higher. Mezzo for chorus).
Popular, innocent, stupid. Can be mean on command if Heather Chandler orders it, but actually quite vulnerable and fearful. (Female identifying character, 18+ to play high school student). Vocal Range: G3 - F5 | Soprano/Mezzo-Soprano (Strong belt to Db5, D5 preferred. Soprano for chorus).

Nicknamed “Martha Dumptruck,” the opposite of confident and popular. Huge and beautiful soul, optimistic even in the face of rejection. (Female identifying character, 18+ to play high school student). Vocal Range: G3 - Eb5 | Mezzo-Soprano (Strong belt to E5 or F5). This performer should self-identify as plus-sized.
As MS. FLEMING: Aging hippie teacher, still yearning for the day the Age of Aquarius reaches Ohio. Resentful of today’s entitled youth, protective of the underdogs. Despite a penchant for self-promotion, genuinely cares about the students in her charge. As VERONICA’S MOM: Easygoing, distant, yet capable of laying down the law. (Female identifying character, adult). Vocal Range: Ab3 - F5 | Mezzo-Soprano (Belt up to C5).
An embittered social outcast. Hated by all, but not as hated as Martha. (Male identifying character, 18+ to play high school student). Vocal Range: Ab3 - F#4 | Tenor/Baritone.
