Looking for Actors to Star in Student Short Film
Looking for Male Actors for short film Dinner Parties For Dummies, for the roles of Chester and Jared. Logline: An insecure ventriloquist must impress his girlfriend's friends while keeping his haunted puppet from ruining the evening. This film will be shot at Cinespace Studios Toronto (777 Kipling Ave) on January 25-26. There is no pay, but food will be provided and travel compensated.

Chester is a socially awkward ventriloquist desperate to impress his girlfriend's friends. His need for approval drives him to perform with Twinkletoes, his haunted puppet who's an asshole. Character inspired by Tim Robinson (I Think You Should Leave) with a hint of Napoleon Dynamite. For the role of Chester, you'd just be reading a part of the script that will be sent to you, around 2 to 3 pages long. Auditions will be sent via email.
Cassandra's easygoing boyfriend whose calm demeanor is tested by Twinkletoes' relentless teasing. His frustration grows throughout the evening, pushing him to a breaking point. He also wears overalls. For the role of Jared, I'll attach a different, specific audition script for that character because he doesn't have as much dialogue as Chester.
