About the project: Synopsis: Shan and Beverly are in love with each other, but Beverly's abusive father forbids their marriage, threatening to destroy them both. They then decide to off themselves in a Romeo & Juliet-type fashion. Unfortunately, Beverly loses her life instantly but Shan survives, much to his horror. One year on, Shan becomes a dance teacher, when one of his students, a girl named Sofia who is an immigrant from Ukraine, falls in love with him. At first, Shan is hesitant and borderline hostile, wanting nothing to do with Sofia, with the memory of Beverly still fresh in his mind, but over time Sofia teaches Shan to open his heart and love again.
