About the project: In the late 1800s, a devoted father in the desolate town of Bummer, NM, faces a cosmic upheaval when an alien crash-lands, claiming to be his son’s true father. Framed as a tale within a tale, an aging L. Thomas Frank recounts this bizarre alien western of love, loss, and deception to a modern film crew. (Androgynous, Male or Female). A young, pretentious French cinematographer who lives and breathes cinema, balancing deep artistic passion with an argumentative streak. Though often self-assured to the point of arrogance, they are driven by a genuine care for the craft, bringing both intensity and an exacting eye to capturing L. Thomas’s tale on film. PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR A FRENCH ACCENT.
An overly helpful production assistant on set, eager to prove herself but often taken advantage of. Despite being walked on by everyone, she remains determined to do her best.
