About the project: Fairview by Jackie Sibblies Drury is a sharp and provocative play that examines race, surveillance, and power through a gripping and unexpected narrative. The story follows a Black family, preparing for their matriarch’s birthday party while increasingly surreal interactions reveal unsettling truths about privilege and perception. Blending dark humor with social commentary, Fairview challenges the audience to confront their own complicity in systems of inequality, offering a bold critique of how we engage with issues of race in contemporary society. Rate: All positions are paid an honorarium of $1000.00. Additional info: Performances will be February 20 – March 8, 2025, with rehearsals beginning in January. Exact rehearsal schedule will be determined by actor availability. Please apply if interested. Sides will be sent to you before the audition.
