Casting Call for Upcoming PSA
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Looking for female actors for Canadian Center of Victims of Torture PSA. More details are below. About the project: This PSA will follow the story of Saeideh, a woman from Iran, who suffered torture and loss of her husband during the revolution in 1980s. She shares her struggles after coming to Canada and how a CCVT’s befriending volunteer program provided crucial support for her adaptation. Rate: Non-Paid. Union and Non-Union. Additional information: Location: Toronto. Shooting Dates: TBD (Between Jan 30th to Feb 2nd, 2025). Submission Deadline: December 31st. A woman from Iran. During the Iranian revolution, she was imprisoned for political reasons together with her husband, who was later executed. This PSA is based on a real story of CCVT’s client and will serve as a reenactment of Saeideh’s story. Speaking Farsi is a huge bonus.
An emphatic and respectful woman in her 30s. Volunteer at the Befriending Program at CCVT, which is created to provide support to victims of torture in an informal atmosphere. She is a beginner at her job. Throughout the story she learns how to show support to Saeideh, while also becoming her closest friend. Caring, compassionate, unexperienced.
