"Got It Good" Original Musical Seeking Cast

About the project: In the style of Dear Evan Hansen, RENT, and SIX, “Got It Good,” is an original contemporary pop-rock musical with book by local creator Sharen Camille and music by Iridesense. Can a hot young designer take on the green-washing of a conglomerate? Can a high schooler take on the narrow-mindedness of a school board trying to ban books? 2 daughters struggle to find their way in a world filled with both idealism and cynicism. How will their mom create her own new story as she faces the joys and challenges of an empty nest? This coming-of-age tale features a family of 3 women at different ages and stages of their lives as they discover the forces of nature they are destined to be. Rate: All roles are unpaid. Additional info: All voices should be comfortable with a contemporary pop mixed sound. Audition requirements: Prepare 32 bars of 2 contrasting songs that represent your vocal range. Accompanist provided. Please bring music in the key you will be singing. You can complete the audition form attached in advance and bring it with you. There will also be forms available at the audition. You may bring a resume and/or headshot to attach. You will be asked to complete a conflict calendar, so please have your conflicts available. Performances will be held on February 22-23 and Feb 28, Mar 1-2, 2025. Will have a readthrough of the musical on Saturday, December 7 from 1pm-4pm. Rehearsals will in Rockville, MD on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-10 pm and as well as Saturday from 10am-1pm, beginning on January 4. Tech week begins February 16.
