"Ride The Cyclone" Musical Needs Cast
Audition announcement for "Ride The Cyclone" show. Looking for actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: "In a dilapidated warehouse at an abandoned amusement park, an aging mechanical fortune-teller called The Amazing Karnak comes to life, and brings with him a ghostly choir of five deceased high-schoolers - all members of the Saint Cassian Chamber Choir, who were tragically killed on the park’s Cyclone roller coaster. Now, Karnak has the power to return one of these youths to life - but they must all decide among themselves who is the most worthy of a second chance to “ride the cyclone” that is life." Rate: Actors are paid $45 per performance with a $100 travel stipend. Additional info: TO PREPARE: 32 bars of a song in the style of the show. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key. A mechanical fortune-telling machine that serves as the narrator and gamemaster. He appears several times throughout the cast album, breaking the fourth wall by directly addressing the listener.
Belter, Alton/Soprano- Born December 22nd, Ocean is a competitive over-achiever who struggles to put others before herself. She is mainly portrayed as the protagonist throughout the show.
Smooth Cabaret voice, Tenor- Born March 5th, he is the only gay man in Uranium who has an obsession with French New Wave cinema. He sings as his alter-ego: Monique Gibbeau, a hooker in post-war France, who is partially based off of Marlene Dietrich as Lola Lola in 'The Blue Angel (1939)'.
Rapper/Folk singer, Baritone- Born August 18th in a small town outside of Odessa, Mischa is a Ukrainian adoptee who puts on a gangster persona to conceal his passionate nature.
Rock voice, Baritone- Born June 5th, he is described "the most imaginative boy in town" and has created his own universe, where he is the hero of the planet Zolar.
Classical/Operatic voice, Soprano- A decapitated girl who is unsure of her true identity. She is revealed at the end of the show to be Penny Lamb, born April 7th. Penny Lamb is also the sister of Ezra Lamb, a separate character in the play 'Legoland'.
Rock voice, Alto- - Born November 14th, Constance is the secretly self-loathing "nicest girl in town" who has complicated feelings about her hometown.
