Open Roles in a Short Film “GoB”
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ADMITTED. Looking for actors for a student short film production “GoB”. More details are below. About the project: Logline: After a cryptic betrayal leads to a violent robbery, a young man must navigate a dangerous web of revenge, loyalty, and desperation as he seeks to reclaim his stolen fortune, protect his family, and expose the traitor in his midst. Rate: This is a non-union production and while it is unpaid, the final production will have a polished look and will work great for an actor reel. Additional information: Filming will most likely take place in Hamilton with crew transportation available. Directors are aiming to start production in December/January assuming everything goes to plan. When applying, please submit your head shot and the role you would like to audition for. Directors will send over the sides for the audition.

A sharp minded individual, Dante is a determined and resourceful gambler who relies on crypto and his instincts to make money. Though confident, he is burdened by the weight of loyalty and the consequences of his choices. Traits: intelligent, ambitious, resourceful, often impulsive.
Dante’s closest ally and confidant, Rico is street smart and loyal but has a cocky and fiery temper. Dressed like a thug, he’s always ready for a fight and struggles with balancing reason and bavardo. Traits: loyal, impulsive, aggressive, and witty.
A hot headed gambler who masks his insecurities with bavardo. Jay is reckless and easily temped by opportunities to gain power, making him the weakest link in Dante’s circle. Traits: reckless, insecure, and treacherous.
A former dope dealer turned underground blackjack boss, Quan is big, strong, and ruthless. He thrives on control and intimidation, using his past connections to stay ahead. Traits: cunning, menacing, and vindictive.
Dante’s pregnant girlfriend, who is loving, grounded, and acts as his moral compass. She’s practical and fiercely protective of her family, urging Dante to avoid dangerous choices. Traits: supportive, empathetic, and strong-willled.
