About the play: Show Synopsis: Set amid leafy greens of Quail Valley Country Club, Ken Ludwig’s A Fox on the Fairway unfolds on the day Quail Valley faces its oldest rival, nearby Crouching Squirrel Golf and Racquet Club, for the golf tournament of the decade. Battle lines are drawn when the two clubs, like Greece and Troy, assemble their bravest heroes and play on to the final, madcap putt on an 18th hole that is the stuff of legend. A tribute to the farces of the 1930’s and 40s, A Fox on the Fairway takes audiences on a riotous ride that recalls the classics of the Marx Brothers. Rate: This is a volunteer, non-paid non-union production. Additional informaiton: Callbacks if needed Wednesday November 27, 2024 7:30pm-9:30pm. Where: Campbellville, ON. Rehearsals: Tuesday 7:30pm - 10:30pm; Thursday 7:30pm - 10:30pm; Sunday 6:00pm - 9:00pm. Rehearsals start Feb 2025. Show dates: May 2, 3, 4, 8, 9,10, 2025. ALL show dates, production week and mid run pick up rehearsal are mandatory Monologue not required, cold read from the script plus some improv. There is no need to book an audition time as the director will be pairing actors in various roles to play off of each other (group readings). Sides will be available at auditions only. Please be prepared to stay the entire time (if you need to leave early let directors know upon arrival. If you need to arrive late let them know via email ahead of time).
