"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" Needs Singers
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are currently in need of singers for musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". More details are below. About the musical: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was the first Lloyd Webber and Rice musical to be performed publicly. This reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph is told entirely through song. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, Joseph ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired, Pharaoh. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family. Additional information: Auditions take place in 10-minute. Each person should prepare a song of their own choosing and bring the music and/or a soundtrack as accompaniment, along with a way to play the track if needed. You will also be doing a short dance audition with the choreographer, so please wear comfortable clothing and footwear. CALLBACKS Thursday, December 5. SHOW DATES: April 25, 26, 27*, 30.
