About the project: Logline: When 15-year-old Jethane Ketty visits his estranged mother for the first time in 12 years, he discovers the depth of the darkness of her obsessions. Rate: $100 per day (non-union, unpaid except for this stipend), food and drinks provided. Additional information: Genre: Psychological Thriller. Supporting. A blonde, well-tanned woman who maintains a polished appearance but harbors unsettling habits. Notes: A complex character with moments of eerie warmth and sudden shifts in tone and darkness.
Supporting. A dark-skinned African man with a stern but loving demeanor, struggling with his son’s defiance. Notes: MUST portray layered emotions from sternness to moments of vulnerability.
Supporting. A composed, dark-haired woman who knows how to diffuse tension. Notes: MUST have a nurturing, calming presence.
Supporting. A Botox-resistant (make up will achieve this) , overly friendly woman with an unsettling edge. Notes: Strong comedic timing with an undercurrent of discomfort.
