About the project: "Roadside Assistance" is a short film depicting how adults live with long-term diagnoses early in life. This project highlights how HIV impacts members of the LGBTQ+ community every day. Additional info: Films 12/8 and 12/15 around Baltimore, MD. NOTE: This script jumps between the past and present. Directors hope to work with an actor who would be willing to receive a haircut, grow/shave facial hair, or otherwise make minor changes to their look to indicate the passage of time. Please indicate your comfort level with this in your email... (Production will pay for a haircut!). See the flyer attached for details. Main character. A cautious, yet confident, individual who calls on his ex boyfriend to help him repair his car after it breaks down.
Once confident and cocky, Brett is caught off guard when his old ex calls on him to help repair his car after it breaks down. Despite the awkwardness, the encounter creates an opportunity for hirn to get some things off his chest from their past relationship.
