Casting call for "Solus" student short film. In search of actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the roles below. About the project: The film is a dark psychological take on Christmastime Hallmark films, where a woman is fantasizing about being in a relationship with an escaped criminal in response to being trapped in her marriage with a sheriff's deputy. The film is a mix of gritty realism and surrealist dreamlike imagery. Additional info: Looking for 1 lead actress, 2 supporting roles, and 2 day players to film February 14-16 2025, and are open to filming intimacy scenes in the case of Laura and Jeremiah (there will be an intimacy coordinator). When applying, please include a headshot (and optionally any previous work, whether that's a reel or resume) to receive sides for self tape.

Sheriff's deputy. He throws himself into his work, and therefore slacks on giving Laura affection and housework. Is set to play Santa in the local church's Christmas pageant.
She is Laura's younger coworker that Laura takes under her wing. A bit of a rebel, smokes on the job.
They are the manager of the store Laura works at.
