About the project: A burned-out young banker partners up with an AI bot to escape corporate greed and find meaning in his job. He soon finds himself entangled in absurd sacrifices and eye-opening realizations. Rate: Non-Union. This is a volunteer project; lunch will be paid for. Additional information: Audition Location Online. Shoot/Performance Date(s) November 10-12. Shoot/Performance Location(s) Burnaby. Submission Deadline November 9, 2024. This will be a student project, so no previous experience will be required. When appying, please submit an audition video with a brief introduction of your name, age and the role you are auditioning for. Miles is a man in his early 20’s working at a corporate firm. His awareness allows him to see through the company’s facade revealing it’s true, unethical intentions. Struggling over his guilt of contributions and his need to break free, Miles retreats into a dream-like state. As a mean to finally seek purpose in his work, he turns to an AI counsellor (Emily) for help.
The Head Dream Maker at Dreams Capital, embodies the seductive side of corporate greed. With a polished smile and a predatory charm, she manipulates her team under the guise of positivity and progress. Calista isn’t just a person - she’s the personification of the toxic system Miles is trapped in, always encouraging him to dream bigger while stripping him of his humanity.
