The company is holding auditions for "Matilda The Musical" and looking for performers, please see the details below. Additional info: You should have a 30 to 45 bar (about a minute) audition song prepared if you are auditioning for a singing role (most are). In addition to the vocal audition, you will be reading scenes for specific characters from the show. Please see the attachment for more details.

Vocal range approximately top A to f dealer in second hand cars, a crook. Wormwood is Matilda’s uncaring father. He is best described as – A slimy, greedy used-car salesman, unintentionally hilarious. Must be a VERY strong actor and comedian; improv and dance and movement skills needed for this physical characterization.
Strong belt voice approximately up to top F/G, mother of Michael and Matilda, obsessed with amateur ballroom dancing. Mrs. Wormwood is Matilda’s self-absorbed, negligent mother and an amateur ballroom dancer. Must be a VERY strong comedic/character actress, dancer, and singer able to carry off a sizable comedic role.
Encouraging local librarian who is Matilda’s confidant. No solos or Dance features. Acting role
Mrs. Wormwood’s dance partner. Must be a strong social dancer, particularly with tango or other Latin dance experience. Michael Wormwood teens-20s, Matilda’s older brother. He is a deadpan comedic character, with various lines and “bits” throughout the show. Must be a strong comedic actor.
Baritone, Russian mafia boss who is after Mr. Wormwood.
