About the project: Kathryn is the story of a woman our playwright knew in the 90s. She was in the original production of Gypsy on Broadway, was a musical theatre star in Toronto in the 50s, and a radio star in Calgary in the 60s. She was also an alcoholic, and her hard fought talent and skill, which she valued above all else, was repeatedly at odds with the bottle. It is a mother-daughter story.
