Stephen is a troubling and conflicted man. After murdering his mom in his first psychotic episode, he was admitted to a mental hospital. He is also haunted by his actions towards his mother, which tends to manifest itself during Stephen’s episodes. Must be skilled in facial acting
The veiled figure, while mysterious, represents Stephen’s past. This figure is almost always shrouded in darkness, so you can never quite make out its shape. But its most distinct feature is its glowing red eyes. This figure only moves when Stephen is looking away from it. Open to anyone – height requirement 6’2 and over Must be comfortable with wearing a mask with a lighting rig set up (precaution will be taken to prevent damage to the eyes).
As one of Stephen’s doctors, Cakebread is level-headed and calm. This makes them a perfect foil for their partner, Bonecutter (more on them later), despite their common goals with Stephen. Cakebread prefers to level with their patients and respect their boundaries. They understand that everyone must follow their own paths. However, they will make their professional opinions known, they are a doctor after all. They want to make sure their patients understand their best options.
Contrary to their partner, Bonecutter takes a much more direct approach to their practice. Bonecutter knows they are correct and has little patience for anyone who dares oppose. While Cakebread might try to be as nice and calm as possible, Bonecutter will tell you how it is, no beating around the bush. You can imagine how they behave when they learn Stephen is not taking the steps necessary to help himself.
The victim of Stephen’s first psychotic episode. Stephen’s mother is as gentle and kind as they come. She is also not one to hold a grudge. While she met her demise at the hands of her son, she understood that Stephen had no clue what he was doing. She knows that if he saw things for what they were, he would never commit the act he did. After all, she did raise him.
