Casting actors for "The Waiting Room" Sizzle Reel. Please see the characters' descriptions below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Five strangers share a brief moment in a diner, but then wake up to find themselves in a room with no windows or doors. After attempting to find a way out and discover how they got there, someone appears, telling them they are waiting to meet Jesus. They realize that perhaps, this is where eternity begins. Rate: $150/Day (no travel or lodging included). Additional info: Dates: Nov. 21-23 (actors will film 1-3 days); Location: Butler County, OH. Actors cast in this sizzle reel will be highly considered for the feature film. LEAD - Jane became a Christian in college but met a man who was anarchist and made bombs. She married him and joined his cause. He taught her everything. However, when he dies while making a bomb that explodes, Jane becomes depressed, lonely and angry.
LEAD - A young woman in her early twenties, who is the daughter of a devout Christian mom. She goes through the motions of being a Christian like her mom so much that she does everything her mom does, copying her lifestyle, although she has truly never accepted Jesus.
LEAD - Kevin is an American Jamaican with an English Jamaican accent. He believes in some Rastafarian values mixed with some Christian elements. He mentions the Psalms and Proverbs, however he does not believe that Jesus is the Messiah.
LEAD - As a young girl, Faith was molested and raped by her mother's boyfriends and her mother accused her of stealing them from her. This led to rebellion. She would steal drugs from her mom and run away. Deep down she knew this wasn't the life she wanted to lead. She gets offered a job as a prostitute and agrees with boundaries. One day those boundaries were crossed, so she escapes to a better life. (No nudity, partial nudity, or sexual scenes will be filmed.)
LEAD - Michael is caught up in an affair with a married woman. (Not shown in sizzle reel.)She soon leaves him to reunite with her husband. A preacher attempts to discuss eternity with Michael at a local diner.

SUPPORTING - A Rastafarian man who is now a Christian
SUPPORTING - Flick is a pimp who employs Faith. One night he oversteps his bounds and gets slapped by Faith, who escapes.
