Singing Opportunities in "She Loves Me" Production
Seeking male and female performers and singers for the "She Loves Me" show. For further information, see the details listed below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Town Theatre is excited to announce auditions for She Loves Me. Set in 1934 Budapest, co-workers Georg and Amalia seemingly despise one another at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. After both respond to a “lonely hearts ad” in the newspaper, they now live for the letters that they exchange, not knowing that the stranger they’re falling in love with is their own worst enemy. She Loves Me is a charming romantic comedy with an endearing innocence and a touch of old-world elegance. If the storyline sounds familiar, it is because it is! She Loves Me and the movie You’ve Got Mail are both based on the play Parfumerie. Additional info: Everyone should prepare 16-32 measures of a song, preferably in the style of the show. Bring sheet music to be played by an accompanist or a track (with no vocals). A Bluetooth speaker will be provided. No a cappella vocal auditions, please. Everyone should also be dressed for movement. Scene readings will be done at callbacks, which will be by invitation only. See the form attached. To be considered, please apply.
