About the project: 9 to 5 The Musical is based on the 1980 film and features music and lyrics by Dolly Parton. Violet, Judy, and Doralee are under employment of the sexist and pompous Franklin Hart and take action to take control of their lives as well as their company. Additional info: Please prepare a vocal selection that is 16-32 bars, and no longer than 2 minutes. All performers must bring their own sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. No tracked music, a cappella singing, or substitute accompanists will be allowed. After the vocal portion of the audition, there will be a dance portion. Bring dance shoes and the appropriate clothing. Performances: Feb. 7, 2025 - March 2, 2025. Shows are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 3 pm. There is a special 2 PM show on March 1. Rehearsals: Dec. 15 -19 2024, Jan. 5- Feb. 6, 2025. Rehearsals are Sundays from 6 PM-10 PM, and Mondays-Thursday from 7 PM-10 PM One Friday rehearsal will be Jan. 31st from 7 PM-10 PM and our mandatory tech rehearsal from 12 PM-10 PM will be Sunday, Feb 2nd.
