Casting Call for "The Binding Ritual" Film
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are currently in need of cast for production of "The Binding Ritual". Please, see the details below. About the project: Synopsis: A group of friends discover an horror unknown video on YouTube. As they watch it, they come up with an idea to go to the same location from the video, live stream everything, and prove that the supernatural is all fake. Hoping it makes them rich and famous. However, once they enter the building, they're in for a terrifying surprise. Rate: Non Union. Volunteer. Additional information: Production Length: 10-15 Minutes. Production Location: Calgary, AB. Shoot Dates: 5-6 Days in November start or Mid, 2024. Shooting Location: Calgary, AB (Specific location TBA: Most of the shoot is in Night). Audition Location: Digital submission. Lead. Eric is like the main leader of the group. He wants to avoid working as much as possible by trying to become famous on Twitch. Once he's received the YouTube video, he sees.
Lead: Jessica is Eric's closest friend since elementary school. She wants to become a famous Tiktoker. Unlike Eric, she's 50/50 about the supernatural, which can help her stay calm while also being cautious and, she gets overwhelmed easily,
Supporting: Mike has been Eric's best friend since middle school. He wants to become a famous YouTuber and spend time with his only friends, Eric and Jessica. He's a stoner, so whenever he gets high, he starts believing in the supernatural, which allows him to come up with an emergency for him and his friends. He's a bit clumsy which could lead to a plan turning into a disaster.
Supporting: Aaron is the younger brother of Bob. He's also a professional cameraman for stuff like documentaries and short films. However he's frustrated, and tired of waiting to be in front of the camera for once.
Supporting: Bob is Aaron's big brother. He's also like a cameraman. The difference is that Bob is patient about everything, and encourages Aaron to wait and he'll get what he wants. He learned the importance of patience and relaxation from cadets.
Antagonist: Kevin was bullied as a kid for being new to the school. One day he's had enough and wants to get revenge. He finds a magic book, and hopes the ritual will cause the bullies pain. However, the ritual goes horribly wrong and dies, trapping his spirit in the book. Until Jessica finds it in a library years later.
