About the project: This production of Jesus Christ Superstar will be presented in concert-style with intentional movement and modern rock elements. Looking for performers who are comfortable with rock vocals, high-energy performance, and strong emotional connection to character work. Although this is in concert, character development will play a key role in the storytelling. Production will have a large ensemble in addition to 6 featured roles and the 3 principals of Jesus, Judas, and Mary. Additional info: WHAT TO PREPARE: Please prepare at least 32 bars of a selection from Jesus Christ Superstar strongly preferred. Selections with a similar rock style will be accepted. There will not be an accompanist, so come prepared with an electronic device (phone, tablet, etc.) with your backing track and the time stamp. Upon entering the audition room, you will be asked to share it with the production team to play it through audio system. Video submissions: see the attachment. CALLBACKS: Tuesday, November 26th (6 pm - 10 pm) [Main Stage] REHEARSALS: Initial sing through on December 11th, 2024 from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm. Rehearsals will be once each week through January on Thursdays and then move to Tuesdays and Thursdays each week from February through tech week.
