A quiet, introspective young Chinese woman, grapples with feelings of detachment. Emotionally distant but harbouring deep sorrow. Drifting between reality and illusion, questioning existence, and with an excessive romanticization of death. Must convey subtle emotion. Mandarin speaking required.
An eccentric Chinese fortune-teller, despite her old age and weathered appearance, she is sharp-witted, practical, and has a dark sense of humor. She holds knowledge about the spiritual world, yet operates in a space where ancient beliefs mix with modern cynicism. A lively, quirky role requiring a mix of humor and gravitas. Mandarin speaking required.
On-set voice acting, requires experience in Chinese opera like Peking Opera. Willingness to learn basic Nuo Opera pieces, and the ability to speak in haunting, poetic verses. Preferably speaking either Guizhou, Sichuan or Yunan dialect.
Goddess of the Oblivion, Chinese, Brief appearance during one scene, Mandarin speaking required.
