Joy is Donnie’s Mother. She’d been a single mother for a few years until she met Malcolm; a God-sent. Or so she thought… Note: African/Nigerian actresses preferred (for authenticity purposes) but all are welcome to submit.
Malcolm (Flagrant, Erratic), is Joy’s husband and stepfather to her kids. He took them in only to fill the void left by his late wife and his need to feel in charge drives him to be physically abusive to those around him.
Tony runs into Donnie at the gym and their meeting creates a turning point in Donnie’s Journey. He gives Donnie a job at the gym and ultimately begins to train and build him up.
Abby (Badass, Boxer) is a fighter and trainer at the boxing gym. She spars with Donnie and forces him to level up and face his fears. Note: Boxing/ Martial Arts experience preferred for this role, but all are welcome to submit.
