She is the teenage daughter of Carina and John. The very literal golden child. Her hair won't stop growing. She has an angelic demeanor, but also has that kind of brutality and viscerality that comes with the overly innocent. Pandolfa: the nanny/revolutionary spy. Doña Certeza: The nurse – very grounded and aware of everything. Irma Estancia: Second in command for the guerillas, lots of common-sense. Soon becomes fluent in French/German. Pantulfa: the suddenly grown daughter of Pandolfa. Has Pandolfa's motherly instinct. Fluent/native speaker in Spanish a plus. Don Elitorio: the architect. Lausano: the steward – also wise but has a bit more understanding of the legends. Permite Dulzón: the factory manager, a laughable man. Gavioto Cantimpalo: the young love-struck priest. Clemente Caudillo: the head of the guerillas, he is stern, a bit less responsible than his second in command.
