About the project:
It's time to carry the banner on your stage with Disney's Newsies! Set in turn-of-the century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right!

Auditioners are asked to prepare a short (16-bar) selection from a contemporary (post-2000) musical theatre piece. You must bring sheet music for the accompanist (no taped accompaniment or a capella singing) that is appropriately marked with where you want the accompanist to begin and end. The dance combination will be taught at auditions.
Callbacks will be held 5-9 pm on Wednesday, October 23.
Rehearsals will begin in January 2025 and will be Monday-Friday from 7-10 pm.
Performance dates are March 27-29 and April 3-5; performers MUST be available for an educational matinee on the morning of Thursday, March 27. Swings and/or understudies will be cast from the ensemble.
