The company is holding auditions for "A Midsummer Night's Dream" ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: When four young lovers find themselves caught in a bind, they seek to escape their fates in the forest. But the wild woods are filled with mischievous faeries with their own plans. This adaptation of the classic Elizabeth rom-com takes us deep into the heart of Appalachian territory. Rate: Is a volunteer-led, non-equity community theatre and does not offer pay or stipends at this time. Additional info: Rehearsals: 2-3 nights/week; TBD Tech (Mandatory): Feb 2-6, 2025 Performances: Feb 7-16, 2025 (6 performances) Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. You may pre-register for an audition slot to receive access to additional audition information, including audition sides (scenes). Familiarizing yourself with the audition material is recommended, though memorization is not required.

Helena is in love with Demetrius, and she’s desperate for him to return her affections. She and Hermia are very close. Helena is sensitive and affectionate. Her enchantment and subsequent infatuation with Bottom provide much of the play's humor. Titania is strong-willed, proud, and nurturing. Despite her quarrel with Oberon, she shows a tender side, especially in her care for the changeling boy.

Puck/Robin GoodfellowMale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

Puck is Oberon's mischievous servant, responsible for much of the magical mishaps. Their actions drive the comedic confusion and ultimate resolution of the lovers' conflicts. Puck is playful, mischievous, and witty. They enjoy causing trouble and revel in the chaos they create, yet they ultimately help to restore order. Ideally, this actor will have the ability to do very physical onstage work including climbing, crouching, etc.
